Rohitas Electronics is
proud of being a leading solar cooker manufacturer. The company
was established in 1976 by Mr. C. K. Rohatgi who had the vision
that non-conventional energy was the answer to the plight of women
who are otherwise condemned to spend their lives inhaling toxic
smoke in urban kitchens or in search of firewood in rural areas.
He saw that non- conventional energy held the key to promote all-round
health and well-being. Over the years, Rohitas promoted the development
& production of solar water heating systems, domestic solar
cookers and solar P.V based lighting equipment.
Solar cooking changes the
lives of people for the better. Tulsi Solar cookers manufactured
by Rohitas Electronics are ideal for the nuclear family, which
is becoming the norm of society. Mr. Rohatgi decided that he should
constantly strive to incorporate user- friendly features in his
solar cookers. His efforts have resulted in a wide range of solar
cookers - cookers that were efficient, durable and economically
priced. Rohitas cookers can meet the demands of any country in
the world.
The chief Technocrat
of the company Mr. C.K. Rohatgi is a member of Bureau
of Indian Standards, the government agency, which lays down
standards of technical efficiency for industrial products. His
articles have been published in various magazines and journals.
He is a regular invitee as a guest lecturer at leading technological
institutes, seminars and training programs on solar thermal
technology . Mr. Rohatgi represented Government of India to
Kingdom of Morocco as an Expert on Solar Thermal technology
a rare opportunity granted to any private entrepreneur in India.
The company was first
to develop energy efficient, cost effective evaporative type
desert coolers for tropical countries and energy efficient cooler
fans for use in room coolers, which have been successfully marketed
across the country. The design was copied by hundreds of manufacturers
across Asian and African countries, which testifies its technical
performance and consumer satisfaction.

energy efficient solar cooker and advanced design of solar
water heater.
- In 1983, US department of commerce
invited Mr. Rohatgi, our chief Technocrat to attend an International
Solar Energy Conference in Anaheim, California. Subsequently,
he visited various plants, works and sites on solar thermal
and photovoltaic technology in U.S, Canada and U.K.
